Bachelor Pad Interior Design in New York

I had a lot of fun working on interior design for this modern Bachelor Pad. The project was inspired by the life in Brooklyn and the vibrant city atmosphere. Firstly, I’ve picked a masculine contrasting colour palette (similar to my House in the Woods project) with rough materials to accentuate the bachelor’s lifestyle. Secondly, I’ve made sure the layout makes the apartment open and party-ready.

Ula Burgiel Luxury Interior Designer based in London

Hi, I’m Ula Burgiel – a luxury interior designer based in London.

I professionally design modern and hi-end interiors for homes around the world: London, Hong Kong and New York. My style can be described as contemporary minimalism with understated luxury.

This stylish one bedroom bachelor pad interior has a big living space designed in a way that connects it with the kitchen and a study.

I’ve designed it with the modern luxury interior design principles in mind. The interior design focuses on bringing the best possible experience for a single professional so he can enjoy life in New York.

What’s Important in Bachelor Pad Interior Design?

A vibrant social life is really important for the client so I’ve designed an open space with smaller cosy areas – perfect for a party. One of the most crucial point in the interior design of this modern Bachelor Pad was the effective use of the space. As a result it’s great to hang out with friends / entertain but also to work and relax. It has been said that the best parties are in the kitchen, so as a result I’ve connected it to the dining and living spaces so it’s very easy for people to mingle.

Dark Masculine Materials

The finishes I’ve picked are dark rich timbers, grey concrete, light wooden floor and black metal. For me, as a luxury interior designer, these are my favourite picks . They create a nice contrast and make the interior design stand out even more. In addition, Black taps and metal details bring the modern and cool industrial look.

The Bachelor Pad features

There’s a lounge space with a big TV and large speakers to enjoy gaming or watching movies with friends. In addition there’s bar space in the kitchen to serve the drinks. I’ve built the bedroom design around the existing brick arch which gives the ceiling a unique shape. I’ve also designed the bespoke joinery to suit and complement this architectural feature. In addition a four poster bed gives an original feel and blends with the black industrial windows. Lastly, the factory-like bulbs hanging from the ceiling complete the design.
